What is Beat My Funnel? +
A performance marketplace where brands post challenges with real money in escrow. Operators compete to beat the brand's current metrics. Winners get paid automatically — and the best brands hire the winner. No pitch decks. No retainers. Just results.
How do challenges work? +
Brand defines a metric and current baseline (e.g. 3.2% CVR). Sets a prize and deposits it into escrow. Operators apply and submit their version. The platform verifies results via Shopify or GA4. If someone beats the baseline at the minimum traffic threshold, the prize releases automatically.
How does escrow work? +
Funds are held by the platform from the moment a challenge goes live. The brand cannot withdraw them during the challenge window. If nobody beats the baseline, the full prize is refunded. If someone wins, the prize transfers automatically upon verification.
How do I know the brand will actually pay? +
They already have. Every challenge requires the brand to deposit the full prize amount plus the finalist pool into escrow before the challenge goes public. Operators never see a challenge until the funds are verified and locked. The brand cannot withdraw during the challenge window. There is no scenario where you win and don't get paid — the money is already sitting there before you apply.
What happens if the brand doesn't deliver enough traffic? +
Every challenge requires the brand to commit to a minimum traffic SLA — typically 5,000 sessions within 14 days. If the brand fails to deliver the committed traffic within the test window, the escrow forfeits to the finalists (split equally). This is a contractual obligation, not a suggestion. We track session delivery in real time and send brands alerts at 50%, 75%, and 90% of their commitment.
What happens if a result is disputed? +
Either party can flag a dispute within 48 hours of the result. Valid dispute triggers include: traffic source mix shifting more than 15% during the test, the brand changing their offer or pricing during the window, or a platform data anomaly. If a confound is confirmed, the test is voided, the prize is refunded to the brand, and each finalist receives a $200 kill fee for their time. If no confound is found, the result stands. During beta, the founder reviews all disputes personally.
How are results verified? +
We connect directly to your Shopify store or GA4 account via OAuth — read-only access, no changes ever made. The platform reads CVR, sessions, and conversion data directly. No screenshots. No self-reported numbers.
What types of challenges can I post? +
Landing pages, ad creative, email flows, homepages, pricing pages — anything with a measurable metric.
What does it cost? +
Free to enter for operators. Brands deposit the prize amount + $1,500 finalist pool ($500 × 3 finalists) into escrow upfront. If someone wins, we take 15% of the prize on top — charged to the brand. If nobody wins, the full prize is refunded. Finalist floor payouts are non-refundable. Operators always receive the full advertised prize.
How do finalists get compensated? +
Every finalist receives a $500 floor payout upon submission — funded by the brand upfront, regardless of outcome. Winners receive the full prize on top. Every submission becomes a verified portfolio entry with written feedback from the brand. You don't build blind and you don't walk away empty-handed.
What do non-winners get? +
Every finalist submission — win or lose — becomes a verified public entry on your operator profile. Finalists who don't win earn a "Shortlisted" badge. The brand is required to leave written feedback on every submission. And brands can reach out to hire any finalist directly through the platform — your best work doesn't go to waste.
How does the application process work? +
Brand posts a challenge. Operators apply for free — a quick pitch covering their background, relevant wins, and why they'd beat the current metrics. The brand reviews applications and selects 3 finalists. Only those finalists build and submit their version. Results are verified automatically.
Who owns the submissions? +
Brands only acquire the rights to the winning submission. Non-winning submissions remain the intellectual property of the operator. Brands may not use elements of non-winning submissions without purchasing them directly from the operator.
Who competes in challenges? +
Everyone. CRO veterans and people who've never had a paying client. Agency talent and solo operators. The platform doesn't filter by credentials or experience — only by who beats the number. A 24-year-old with no clients can beat a $500/hour consultant here. The data doesn't care about résumés.
